Appointment of Chair to the Crown Estate Scotland Board

The Chair will lead the Crown Estate Scotland Board in harnessing expertise and potential of the assets it manages, shaping the organisation for the future, and delivering economic, social, and environmental benefits for communities and business across Scotland.

Requirements

• Proven strategic leadership capability in a complex, high profile organisation
• The ability to balance competing interests when considering strategic approaches or decisions that engage economic, social and environmental factors
• Proven track record of taking successful commercial and/or investment decisions using a clear risk management approach and taking into account external and system risks including markets
• Understanding of the Scottish political and social context in which Crown Estate Scotland operates
• Proven track record of ensuring high standards of organisational governance, integrity and accountability
• Excellent communication skills and a strong capability to engage sensitively with multiple stakeholders
