Senior Data Engineer

Deloitte is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their Technology & Transformation team in Athens. The role involves leading the delivery of client engagements, building relationships, and exercising communication skills to positively influence peers and stakeholders. The successful candidate will have experience in leading medium to large-scale teams, knowledge of Data Warehouse, Data Management, and Business Intelligence principles, and experience in Cloud technology data services and Data Visualization tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or other related field
• Master’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in leading medium to large-scale teams
• Knowledge of Data Warehouse, Data Management, Data Architecture, Data Governance, and Business Intelligence principles and techniques
• Experience in On-Premise technologies stacks such as IBM AS400 (DB2), MS SQL Server, and Oracle
• Experience in Cloud technology data services such as Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, AWS Glue, and GCP BigQuery
• Experience in Data Visualization tools such as Power BI, Qlik, and Tableau
• Experience in Orchestration solutions such as Control-M and Apache Airflow
• Experience in Data Science and AI / ML techniques and tools will be considered a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills in Greek and in English
