Skillsoft Global Knowledge is seeking an experienced professional sales leader with a history of managing and motivating a sales team to grow top-line revenue and over performance in quota attainment. This individual will manage an Account Management team, New business Acquisition team and/or a Hybrid team encompassing both new business and account management accounts.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop and motivate a high-performance sales team to:
  • Leverage prospecting skills to identify, qualify and close new business
  • Develop, maintain and grow an ongoing four quarter sales pipeline funnel at qualified 5X ratio
  • Deliver high impact customer presentations that articulates the company’s value proposition
  • Close sales in complex, long sell cycle situations
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the Skillsoft Global Knowledge consultative and solution selling process

Lead, develop and motivate a high-performance account management sales team to:

  • Retain and increase revenue in assigned customer account list
  • Develop, maintain and grow an ongoing funnel at qualified 3X ratio
  • Leverage prospecting skills to identify, qualify and close new business opportunities in existing accounts
  • Deliver high impact customer presentations that articulates the company’s value proposition
  • Close sales in complex, long sell cycle situations
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the Skillsoft Global Knowledge consultative and solution selling process

Successfully develop and implement a sales strategy to drive top-line revenue growth encompassing all elements of the company’s offerings as appropriate; manage any conflict between service offerings in a positive way.

Operate as a strategic partner and proactively serve as a “trusted advisor” in digital transformation environments. Maintain awareness and keep abreast of the constantly changing technology community, landscape and IT workforce.

Work with sales operations and management on annual budgeting and quota for region, including quota assignment. Partner with related sales, marketing and support resources in the successful advancement of critical opportunities and market penetration. Work positively with, and influence senior leaders and clients to ensure a very high level of customer satisfaction.

Establish coaching as an ongoing priority to maximize effectiveness and productivity. This will include, but not be limited to, creating territory plans, executing on sales plans and effectively spending time with front-line leadership. Manage expense priorities and broad-based costs to ensure comprehensive territory coverage.

Must have a proven track record of successfully recruiting and managing 6+ person sales teams, leading them to achieve regional business goals. Demonstrated ability to recruit, lead, coach, and motivate top performing sales teams.

Proven experience in developing and successfully executing regional sales plans addressing new customer acquisition and existing customer growth. Creativity and proficiency in supporting their team’s sales cycles, including prospecting activity, qualifying opportunities, elevating to executive decision makers, negotiating and closing sales and generating repeat business.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English). Ability to interact effectively with corporate management. Established key contacts in the corporate training industry would be a plus. Strong relationship building skills. Proven ability to manage discretionary expenses and operate in a fast growth environment. Experience leading sales teams in software sales is required.
