We are looking for an experienced Manager or Senior Manager of Marketing Automation to join our revenue operations team and make an immediate positive impact. Your mission is to design, build, measure, and improve the effectiveness of our marketing automation using Marketo. In this role, you can have a significant impact in an already rapidly growing company while working closely with marketing, sales, and executive management teams.

You will report to our Director of Marketing Automation and you may work remotely from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is a registered employer.
You Will:
- Provide leadership in defining, mapping and documenting key marketing processes
- Act as the main point of contact for other partner teams
- Manage a team of Marketing Automation specialists who build and maintain complex automated marketing campaigns with performance focus
- Act as a subject matter expert in Marketo and connecting systems
- Take on major strategic initiatives involving multiple systems and cross-team partnerships
- Evaluate new tools and integrations for scalability and efficiency
- Build and maintain complex automated marketing campaigns with performance focus
- Optimize lead routing and lead scoring as it relates to the entire customer journey
- Champion A/B testing methodology in partnership with key internal stakeholders to optimize emails and landing pages – design, build, execute and analyze
- Drive segmentation framework to optimize customer touches around type of lead
- Analyze what’s working and what’s not – communicate with leadership on these results
- Stay apprised of industry standards, trends, and regulations and be able to evaluate and implement as needed (e.g. Gmail rendering updates, GDPR)
- Impact functional strategy and roadmap, and delegate objectives to direct reports
- Create guidelines and establishes processes for higher-level company initiatives
- Recommend and drives changes to cross-departmental processes
- Drive customer acquisition and retention numbers to goal
You Have:
- 5+ years experience with email marketing
- 2+ years experience with Marketo system management
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or equivalent discipline
- Hands-on experience using Salesforce with Marketo
- Working knowledge and experience with HTML/CSS development, APIs, and Javascript
- Previous experience in people management
- Excellent metrics/analysis/results orientation
