The Sales Development Representative will support the North American Sales effort across new business within the Data & Research. This is a client-facing role where team members build relationships with existing revenue as well as identifying upsell opportunities. The role exposes the candidate to broadening cross-asset knowledge, learning the product’s selling features and narratives, and vital sales skills such as lead generation, cold calling, pitching, negotiations, and contracting skills.
Requirements
- 1-4 years of experience in finance, preferably at a data provider
- Organizational skills
- Ability to network and build relationships
- Basic understanding of financial markets, instruments, and financial math
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with platforms such as Salesforce or Outreach.io is an asset
- Curious about the financial services industry and a willingness to learn
- Enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks and problem solving
