Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to join our executive team in Germany. The CRO will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, building and leading high-performance teams, and shaping our company’s strategic direction. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CRO will collaborate closely with other senior executives.

Responsibilities:

Revenue Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive revenue growth strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Identify new revenue streams and optimize existing ones.
  • Lead pricing strategies, sales forecasting, and budget planning to meet revenue targets.

Sales Leadership:

  • Build and manage a world-class sales organization, including teams, channels, and partners.
  • Implement sales processes, methodologies, and tools for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.

Customer Acquisition and Retention:

  • Drive customer acquisition through effective marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Enhance customer retention, loyalty, and lifetime value.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and feedback to improve products and services.

Business Development:

  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to expand market reach.
  • Negotiate and finalize high-impact deals and collaborations.
  • Explore potential mergers or acquisitions to support growth.

Analytics and Metrics:

  • Establish KPIs and metrics to measure and report on revenue performance.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and course corrections.

Team Development:

  • Attract, mentor, and develop top talent within the revenue organization.
  • Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Set clear expectations and provide regular feedback and coaching.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other C-suite executives for alignment and cross-functional synergy.
  • Present revenue-related strategies, results, and recommendations to the board and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in a similar leadership role, ideally as a CRO or VP of Sales.
  • Deep understanding of the Transport and Logistics industry landscape, market trends, and competitive dynamics.
  • Experience in the Transport and Logistics B2B enterprise software market.
  • Strong track record selling to C-level executives in freight forwarders, logistics companies, and supply chain sectors.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities with a results-driven mindset.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, as well as an MBA or advanced degree, is a plus.
  • Proven experience in B2B sales, focusing on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience managing critical client relationships and navigating complex sales cycles.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, independent contributor, confident decision-maker, and self-motivated.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and the capability to thrive in an independent work environment.
  • Professional proficiency in German and English, both written and verbal.
  • Legally authorized to work in Germany.
