The Role

The Manager, Business Systems will work with a team dedicated to ensuring each stakeholder group is able to capitalize on the full benefits and features offered through Salesforce. We are seeking someone with excellent technical and communication skills who can work directly with internal stakeholders, understand their needs, administer and enhance the system accordingly. This person will serve as the “go to” for users, promote adoption, keep current on new releases, provide training, integrate new tech stack components and more. Additionally, the Administrator will perform basic updates, such as add/delete users, and adding basic custom fields.

What You Will Own

Change Management and System Administration

  • Proactively gather feedback, identify necessary changes, and scope technical requirements from users
  • Collaboratively design, develop, and implement creative and effective solutions which make Saleforce a more effective tool
  • Manage all processes that impact StarRez internal Salesforce and CPQ
  • Manage new releases of SFDC and efficiently roll out new features
  • Create and maintain fields, objects, views, reports, dashboards, profiles, campaigns and other Salesforce objects and functions
  • Maintain, enhance and create workflows, functions and configurations within the Salesforce environment
  • Integrate data as needed from other platforms (ie. Gong) into Salesforce

Maintain System, Security and Integrity

  • Map salesforce.com hierarchy and territories in response to personnel changes
  • Reassign Accounts, Contacts, and Opportunities in response to personnel changes
  • Manage user licenses, permission sets, user roles, profiles, and hierarchies
  • Maintain security including sharing rules and security levels
  • Monitor application storage usage and archive data as needed

User Assistance, Training, Adoption and Satisfaction

  • Create training curriculum to be administered during new hire orientation
  • Initiate and attend planning/strategy meetings, assist with determining if /how salesforce.com can be optimized
  • Assist GTM leadership in leveraging Salesforce data to monitor activities, trends, sales, salesperson efficacy, and adherence to best practices
  • Communicate regularly with user base regarding new features, enhancements and changes to the system
  • Develop and communicate streamlined ticket completion process, ensuring stakeholder requests for assistance are appropriately prioritized and reflect expressed urgency
  • Be the company subject matter expert on StarRez’s internal Salesforce.com and CPQ applications
  • Ensure system is as user-friendly as possible. Layouts, views, and platform UX should make identifying key information seamless

Process Creation, Documentation and Maintenance

  • Document company processes and workflows
  • Develop process documentation and field maps
  • Data Quality, Migration and Maintenance
  • Use Dataloader and other tools to import and manage data at scale
  • Monitor and manage system errors and exception logs for Salesforce
  • Ensure data integrity and quality by proactively merging duplicate Leads, Contacts, and Accounts; performing mass uploads and updates of data as required
  • Remove unnecessary fields and data; ensuring screens, fields and workflow have accurate names and reflect current workflow

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Salesforce administration experience, including experience with Salesforce CPQ and related objects
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPQ certification
  • In‐depth knowledge of the standard capabilities of SFDC and have successfully expanded on those capabilities through the use of custom code
  • Strong reporting background using standard reporting tools including standard Salesforce reporting functionality
  • Previous experience customizing an existing Salesforce configuration to provide solutions for reporting, workflows and enhanced functions
  • Previous experience integrating external platforms into Salesforce
  • Detail oriented and self‐starter with strong written and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Proven ability to utilize Salesforce as a sales analysis tool
  • Computer literate and proficient in standard office applications Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong problem-solving skills, data and software applications
