Are you a strong storyteller with a passion for product marketing? We’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager (12 month contract) to join us at Thinkific.
As a Product Marketing Manager at Thinkific, you’ll quickly become an expert in our platform and the features and benefits we offer to various customer segments. Reporting to the Team Lead, Product Marketing, and focused on our Scale and Plus customers and features, you’ll work across teams to help us shine the spotlight on existing and upcoming feature launches. You are passionate about online education, understand platform technologies, and have extensive experience building content and driving sales readiness.
Your goal will be to conduct competitive analysis, understand market trends, and collaborate with Product to strategize on upcoming development work. Here’s how you’ll accomplish this:
- Establish a clear definition of our target customer segments, how they buy, their buying criteria, and how they differ and overlap
- Build up a detailed understanding of our competitors and their offerings, and how to surpass them
- Craft the messaging and positioning for Thinkific Scale and Plus customers
- Partner closely with the Creative team in creating an engaging web presence, driving visitors and conversions
- Influence product development and launch strategy, based on customer insight, market research, customer adoption, and market awareness
- Communicate the value proposition of product features to the Marketing and Sales teams and help to develop sales and marketing collateral
- Manage and execute the launches of new product features through cross-functional teams
- Create content (e.g. sales documentation, product videos, website copy, blog posts, webinars) and campaigns to articulate the benefits of our products to the world
The person we have in mind likely:
- Has 7+ years’ experience in product marketing (or similar role) for a SaaS company for mid-market or enterprise audience
- Is comfortable using tools like Hubspot, Salesforce, Slack, Unbounce, WordPress, and Freshdesk
- Can demonstrate excellent project management skills and can ensure a project stays on track
- Is a natural communicator who can build consensus and ensure that all stakeholders are on the same page
- Loves data and believes strongly in data-driven decision making
- Has successfully launched a feature from build to marketing launch to a mid-market or enterprise audience, and can explain what was successful about it and what you’d change if you had the chance to do it again
- Loves to learn and grow. They’ve found (and keep looking for) ways to level up their skills in this field, whether that’s through formal education, gaining professional experience, or maybe even building their own business
These things would also be nice, but we think you could learn them on the job:
- The ability to constantly think outside the box, coming up with creative ways to position new and existing features
- Feels comfortable conducting customer interviews
- Knows how to build personas & use cases
The recruitment compensation range for this position is $102,000 – 127,000 CAD
