Role Overview

As a Sales Operations Manager, you are part of the sales team, working closely with internal marketing and management to ensure that good leads become strong customers in Cologne, Hamburg, and remotely. Your goal: keep data clean, processes clear, and documents ready – so setters, closers, and management can focus on content and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Operations: Structure data in the CRM and convert interesting contacts into real opportunities.
  • Interface Management: Ensure data flows cleanly between systems (e.g., Asana, Mailchimp, CRM) and sales gets the information needed for strong conversations.
  • Automation: Test new features and AI tools, build smart automations, and eliminate routine tasks to free up time for meaningful conversations.
  • Account Identification: Identify relevant accounts and buyer personas, prepare lead lists, and sharpen focus for setters and closers.
  • Pitch Deck Lead: Manage the pitch deck and deliver sales materials that convince.
  • Case Studies: Collect results and customer feedback from projects to showcase value as a growth partner.
  • Process Optimization: Optimize sales processes, identify bottlenecks, develop concrete solutions, and increase speed and close quality.

Required Qualifications

  • High-End B2B Experience: Experience with high-value, complex services – ideally in B2B environments with customer lifetime values in the five to six-figure range.
  • Online Marketing Knowledge: Experience with online marketing services or eagerness to learn and use this understanding to intelligently manage sales processes.
  • CRM & Sales Tools: Proficient navigation of CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive) and common sales tools.
  • Modern Tools & AI: Enthusiasm for new tools and AI workflows and desire to actively shape them.
  • Process Orientation: Love clear logic, structure workflows, and derive concrete action steps from clean data for reproducible results.
  • Organizational Skills: Keep threads together, moderate information between sales, marketing, and management, and ensure alignment at the right times.
  • Ownership & Proactivity: Take responsibility, independently tackle topics, and drive them to completion without waiting for instructions.
  • Office Competency: Secure working knowledge of Office or Google tools.
  • Language Skills: Perfect German and good English.
