About the role

We are hiring a Director of Analytics to scale Tremendous’ nascent Data team. You’ll assess our data stack and determine what tools we need to meet our long-term data needs. You’ll work closely with business leads across the company to scope data projects and assess their impacts. This leader will have a large budget to grow the data team in order to meet demand from across the company.

This is a remote position.

You will

  • Lead and scale our Data team
  • Scope, assign, and manage data requests from across the organization
  • Partner with business leads, including the leadership team and the CEO, to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities
  • Oversees all data tooling and security
  • Promote data awareness and self-sufficiency across the organization

You have

  • 6+ years experience as a data scientist, senior analyst, or analytics engineer working with large-scale datasets in early-stage analytics.
  • Prior management experience leading a team of data professionals
  • Familiarity with our data stack (Snowflake, dbt, & Mode)
  • A deep understanding of best practices in designing a data organization
  • A proven ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
  • Experience at a growth-stage startup, ideally in fintech
  • Strong verbal and communication skills. You can paint a compelling narrative with data.
  • Exceptional SQL & Python skills
  • Experience with data privacy compliance
