Description:

The role of the VP of Marketing is to help TrueLayer cement its position globally as an open banking and payments leader. In this role, you will own the development and execution of a global, multi-channel marketing strategy that increases market share, and ultimately drives revenue for the business.

You’ll lead and mentor a team of marketers spanning demand generation, global expansion, and operations to deliver the marketing strategy. You’ll partner closely with leaders across different departments, such as brand and commercial, to ensure your plans are ambitious, aligned, and effective at positioning TrueLayer at the forefront of the payments market.

What we expect from you as our VP of Marketing:

Lead and mentor a talented team of marketers covering diverse areas such as demand generation, global expansion, and operations.

Your mission is to bring our marketing strategy to life, collaborating closely with leaders from various departments, including brand and commercial, to ensure alignment with TrueLayer’s ambitious objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Global Marketing Strategy: Develop and oversee the execution of a robust global marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with core business objectives and providing clear direction to unify the marketing team.
  • Innovation and Growth: Proactively identify growth hacks and opportunities to secure a compounding advantage, positioning TrueLayer as a continuous market leader.
  • Performance Measurement: Set targets and KPIs to measure the impact and performance of all marketing activities. Utilise data to optimise decision-making and regularly report results and outcomes to the business.
  • Financial Oversight: Collaborate with finance to deliver annual and quarterly financial forecasts. Oversee the day-to-day management of the marketing budget, ensuring efficient spending and alignment with targets.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor, inspire, and unite marketing team members. Ensure clear understanding of the strategy, role requirements, business expectations, and access to learning and development opportunities.
  • Performance Reviews:Conduct quarterly performance reviews with the team, managing the process effectively across your department.
  • Scalable Frameworks: Collaboration with Team Leads to craft frameworks, playbooks, and documentation, ensuring a scalable approach to marketing.
  • Strategic Representation: Represent the marketing team in leadership forums across the business, acting as a trusted advisor on all things marketing.

  • Strong analytical skills, using data to drive informed decision-making.
  • Financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and delivering against financial forecasts.
  • A visionary mindset, continuously seeking growth opportunities and market leadership.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional leaders.Create and oversee the execution of our global marketing strategy, ensuring it is aligned with core business objectives, gives clear direction, and unifies everyone in the marketing team
  • Build a deep understanding of our customers and products, ensuring our positioning is differentiated, well defined and communicated clearly across all campaigns and touch points
  • Proactively identify growth hacks and opportunities to deliver compounding advantage, ensuring TrueLayer is continuously positioned as a market leader
  • Set targets and KPIs to measure the impact and performance of all marketing activities, ensuring we are using data to continually optimise decision making, reporting back to the business regularly to share results and outcomes
  • Work with finance to deliver annual and quarterly financial forecasts and oversee the day to day management of the marketing budget, ensuring we are spending efficiently and on track to deliver against targets

We would be particularly excited if you have:

  • Helped the sales team in successfully launching products at european levels
  • Proven experience in lead generation in payments and eCommerce sectors
