In this role, you’ll report to the VP of Marketing and collaborate with the Marketing and Sales leaders to support closed-loop analytics, ensure seamless systems integrations, and maintain data hygiene across the sales and marketing tech stack. You’ll serve as Valant’s analytical expert, supplying the organization with invaluable, data-backed insights and reports. We are looking for someone who has a strong sense of accountability and is excited by the idea of acting both operationally (tactically get things done each week) and strategically (to scale our business and position us for multi-year growth).

This role is critical to the successful achievement of our aggressive growth targets in 2024 and beyond.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the data requirements for monthly operating reviews and defined performance metrics.
  • Partner with sales and marketing leadership to deliver marketing performance effectiveness dashboards, ROI, funnel analytics, database health, and other vital dashboards; Drive insights and accountability across the organization through the consistent use of data.
  • Assemble and maintain consistent datasets that can be trusted for critical decision making.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to execute tests, develop insights, and develop recommendations to improve funnel velocity and conversion rates.
  • Be proactive with asking strategic data questions, ensuring that the right questions are being answered with an appropriate level of rigor and that analyses lead to clear and actionable recommendations and impactful changes.
  • Ensure data structure, integrity, and collection processes are aligned with reporting and business needs, including tracking and attribution of multi-touch user journeys.
  • Define, refine, and optimize lead routing and flow processes; Serve as the primary support resource for the marketing and sales teams for lead management process-related issues and initiatives.
  • Manage relationship between Marketo, Salesforce, and Bizible related to lead flow/management, campaigns, data sync, and reporting.
  • Own the MarTech roadmap. Act as the main point of contact for the marketing technology stack vendors, reporting, data quality, validation rules, data governance, and maintenance.
  • Own the tech stack integrations that increase lead conversions and improve data hygiene, such as connected systems like Chili Piper, Salesloft, Gong, and Bizible.
  • Continuously identify areas to drive implementation of operations and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity across all sales and marketing disciplines.
  • Educate internal teams on our marketing and sales process, including lead follow-up procedure, lead scoring model, best practices for reporting.
  • Create and maintain documentation for all core Marketing Automation & Operations initiatives for internal enablement.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field required
  • 5+ years of experience in building marketing reporting dashboards, setting up marketing KPIs and delivering actionable insights
  • Hands-on experience with CRM (Salesforce), marketing automation (Marketo), multi-touch attribution (Bizible), marketing funnel, and other B2B systems and concepts; Deep understanding of the technical relationship between Marketo and Salesforce including data sync, field mapping, campaign configuration, including dashboards and reporting
  • Data mining skills, including ability to select and join disparate, complex data sets
  • Experience with data visualization tools, including the ability to develop dashboards from scratch
  • An understanding of how to apply statistical and data warehousing concepts
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and able to talk with both technical and business colleagues; Be able to convey business requirements to technical specifications
  • Collaborative mindset and desire to be part of a team ability to interface well with diverse partners, influence without direct authority, and build strong relationships across teams
  • Have a desire to drive innovation and new ways of thinking within the marketing technology stack; Strong interest in marketing technology and confidence to learn and manage new platforms
  • Proficiency using a variety of reporting and business intelligence tools
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment
  • Confidence and ability to work under pressure of deadlines and competing priorities
