Role Overview
The Outside Sales Account Manager sells and promotes Northern Safety’s catalog products, generating new business and servicing the existing territory base through direct face-to-face contact and consultative selling techniques.
What You Will Do
Travel the defined territory to grow business, build customer relationships, work with customer service and branch location to develop new business, and quote prices on products.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate has an Associate’s degree, one to three years of selling experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. They must be organized, thorough, and able to maintain confidentiality.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent
- One to three years of selling experience
- State driver’s license
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be organized and thorough
- Ability to be flexible when working with other associates and managers
- Ability to be a self-starter, objective, and assertive in their work
- Ability to exhibit and maintain confidentiality with company related issues and materials
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of team leaders, managers, associates, and customers
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
