Volt is a dynamic and growing political presence in Europe with ambitious plans for the European Elections in 2024. To realise these ambitious plans, Volt Europa’s message needs to reach a wider, more diverse audience to facilitate conversations and connections with potential supporters. That’s where the Volt Europa Communications Team comes in.

The Communications Team is responsible for disseminating Volt’s message to the outside world. They work closely with the Volt Europa Board, Elected Officials from across Europe, and teams within Volt Europa, to ensure our message connects with the right supporters through the right medium.

What we need:

Volt Europa is looking for a Digital Marketing Manager (female/male/diverse) with entrepreneurial intuition, growth mindset, innovative ideas, data-driven approach, and persuasiveness to win supporters, funds, and votes for Volt. You know how to create highly relevant content and engage our target audiences in meaningful dialogues. You know how to plan, manage, and review all aspects of targeted, engaging multi-channel campaigns to effectively promote Volt awareness, find and convince new Volt supporters, secure and grow their commitment.  You will spend roughly 60% of your time on Social Media, and 40% on Media Marketing.

What the role is about:

  • Boost Volt Europa’s digital presence, awareness, and attractiveness.
  • Build a deep knowledge of our target segments, their needs, and preferences as well as of Volt’s political positioning, programmes and policies.
  • Create engaging, visually appealing, cross-channel contents (e.g. web, social media, email) for segmented audiences and personae.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders when creating content.
  • Plan and execute targeted, attention-grabbing online campaigns and measure their performance.
  • Maximise traffic towards our website, optimise content and journeys to achieve our goals, establish and continuously improve SEO and SEA activities.
  • Maintain a campaign calendar and coordinate campaign activities of different teams.
  • Manage the budget and external providers.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all platforms.
  • Recruit and manage a team of motivated volunteers.

What we want from you:

  • Ability and willingness to learn new skills and adapt to current trends.
  • Successfully completed studies in communication sciences, journalism, business administration / marketing, online media or a comparable education.
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in B2C/B2P marketing.
  • Good intuition for the needs of target groups, paired with analytical skills, an eye for detail, and a feel for data.
  • Strong content marketing, storytelling, and visualisation skills, ability to tailor them to relevant marketing channels.
  • Experience with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook), SEO and SEA (e.g. SSO, SMO), content creation tools (e.g. Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Enthusiasm, independent and structured way of working.
  • Excellent planning, prioritising, and organisational skills, ability to stay calm under pressure, and to handle a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral, more languages are a plus.

Salary:

Between 30-48 k per annum, depending on experience level and adjusted according to purchasing power where you live.
