The Sales & Operations Manager plays a dual leadership role, responsible for driving local sales efforts while supporting day-to-day hotel operations as Manager on Duty (MOD). This position is ideal for a hospitality professional with strong operational knowledge and a passion for revenue generation, guest satisfaction, and team leadership.

The role supports the General Manager by balancing revenue-focused sales activity in the market with hands-on operational leadership, ensuring both top-line growth and consistent service execution.

Compensation:

$45,000 – $50,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

Sales Manager

  • Drive local negotiated and small group business through proactive sales efforts
  • Conduct outside sales calls, local account visits, and community networking
  • Manage and respond to sales inquiries, RFPs, and group leads in a timely manner
  • Negotiate rates, contracts, and group agreements within brand and ownership guidelines
  • Maintain accurate account activity, production tracking, and pipeline reporting
  • Collaborate with revenue management to support ADR and occupancy goals

Operations & Manager on Duty (MOD) Responsibilities

  • Serve as Manager on Duty on assigned shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Oversee daily hotel operations with a primary focus on Front Office and Guest Services
  • Ensure brand standards, service scores, and cleanliness expectations are consistently met
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and efficiently, escalating when appropriate
  • Monitor daily arrivals, VIPs, groups, and special requests

Qualifications:

  • Experience in hospitality sales with a focus on local negotiations
  • Hilton System Knowledge
  • Ability to conduct effective outside sales calls and build strong community networks
  • Proven track record of managing and responding to sales inquiries, RFPs, and group leads promptly
  • Skill in negotiating rates, contracts, and group agreements
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate account activity, production tracking, and pipeline reporting
  • Ability to collaborate with revenue management to support ADR and occupancy goals
  • Experience serving as Manager on Duty, including evenings and weekends as needed, is a plus
