Finance Business Partner / Asst Manager (Finance Operations)

Contract – 11 months and 30 days

You will be part of the Finance team, supporting business units by ensuring strong financial controls, efficient operations, and accurate reporting. This role focuses on delivering timely and reliable finance operations, enabling stakeholders to focus on strategic decision-making and business outcomes.

You will work closely with business partners, project teams, and central finance teams to ensure smooth and compliant financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Closing & Reporting

  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare and update financial reports and trackers
  • Perform cost allocations and adjustments across projects or business units
  • Review financial data, highlight key variances, risks, and issues
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and supporting documentation
  • Follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely closure

2. Finance Operations Support

  • Serve as the main contact for finance-related queries from internal stakeholders
  • Support purchase order (PO) processes, including updates, amendments, and closure
  • Assist with asset tracking, transfers, and tagging
  • Maintain and update internal trackers and records
  • Coordinate with finance teams to resolve operational issues

3. Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting standards, and audit requirements
  • Maintain proper documentation and accurate classification of revenue and expenses
  • Identify and elevate risks or control gaps

4. Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve finance processes
  • Support system enhancements and automation initiatives
  • Participate in testing of system changes (UAT)
  • Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation

5. Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with business partners, project teams, procurement, and finance teams
  • Provide clear and practical finance guidance to stakeholders

6. Other Duties

  • Support ad-hoc projects, analysis, and tasks as required

Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy or relevant professional qualification (e.g. ACCA)
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in finance operations, accounting, or audit
  • Experience in large or complex organisations is an advantage

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Able to handle data, operational tasks, and tight deadlines
  • Proactive team player with a strong sense of ownership
  • Adaptablein a fast-paced and changing environment

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with data tools (e.g. Power Query, Power Pivot, Tableau) is a plus
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Workday or similar) preferred
  • Basic knowledge of automation tools (e.g. VBA, Python, Power Automate) is an advantage

Working location : Pasir Panjang / Alexandra(Nearest MRT station : Labrador)

Salary : $5,500.00 – $7,500.00
