Senior Field Support Engineer – Deposition / Dry Etch
We are partnering with a leading global semiconductor equipment company to hire Product Support Engineers specializing in either Deposition or Dry Etch technologies.
This is a highly visible technical role that sits at the intersection of advanced troubleshooting, customer support, and product engineering, supporting some of the world’s most advanced semiconductor manufacturing facilities.
The Role
- Serve as the technical expert for Deposition or Dry Etch product lines, leading resolution of complex tool and process issues
- Drive structured root cause analysis using equipment, process, and performance data
- Present technical findings and corrective actions to customers, gaining alignment on solutions and recovery plans
- Collaborate with global product engineering, manufacturing, and R&D teams to resolve escalations and prevent recurrence
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including Alpha and Beta tool deployments
- Develop and leverage global knowledge management systems to improve issue resolution and best-practice sharing
- Mentor field engineers and provide technical leadership during critical escalations
- Build strong customer relationships during tool evaluations, upgrades, process optimization, and escalation management
Ideal Profile
- Experience supporting semiconductor capital equipment within Deposition or Dry Etch technologies
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in high-volume manufacturing environments
- Exposure to one or more of the following technologies:
- Deposition: PECVD, ALD, LPCVD, CVD, PVD, Thin Films
- Dry Etch: Dielectric Etch, Conductor Etch, Plasma Etch, Advanced Patterning
- Proven experience conducting data-driven root cause analysis and driving corrective actions
- Comfortable presenting technical solutions directly to customers and senior stakeholders
- Experience working with cross-functional and global engineering teams
