About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO) to join its Executive Team and lead a dynamic fundraising and communications vision. The CPO will be responsible for driving the expansion of the organization's philanthropic reach, building a new and diversified donor pipeline, and significantly growing private revenue. This role demands a highly entrepreneurial leader who can introduce innovative fundraising strategies, integrate major gifts, planned giving, and institutional partnerships, and ensure a compelling, mission-driven communications plan. The successful candidate will work closely with the Board of Directors, oversee a department of 15, and be expected to achieve and grow the annual private revenue goal.
The ideal CPO will be a creative, innovative, and results-oriented professional with a proven track record in fundraising and a minimum of 8-10 years of senior executive-level leadership experience. They should be a champion of the organization's mission, with a strong focus on youth mental health, and possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills. The role requires a master storyteller who can influence outcomes and foster collaborative relationships. The CPO will also be involved in shaping the organizational narrative, managing media relations, and driving engagement through digital communication. An advanced degree in a related field is preferred, and candidates with a background in healthcare, education, human services, or social justice are particularly well-suited for this position.
