The Role
We’re looking for an experienced SDE (Backend) to own our GTM and Customer Success Engineering infrastructure. You’ll be the technical force behind our internal tooling ecosystem, building systems that empower our Sales, Customer Success, and Operations teams to work more efficiently. This role requires someone who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, with deep expertise in API integrations, CRM systems, and a strong builder’s mentality.
Note: This role requires working in US timezone hours (3:00 PM to 2:00 AM IST) to collaborate effectively with our US-based GTM & CX teams.
What You’ll Work On
- Design, develop, and maintain internal tools and automations that power GTM and CX operations
- Build scalable, fault-tolerant integrations with third-party APIs (REST, GraphQL, webhooks) with robust error handling and rate limiting
- Design efficient PostgreSQL schemas, write optimized queries, and build data pipelines for analytics and operational workflows
- Implement robust monitoring, error handling, and observability for business-critical integrations
- Work directly with Sales, Customer Success, and Operations teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Lead technical decisions on system architecture and integration patterns
- Identify opportunities for feature enhancements and automation improvements that drive revenue or efficiency gains
What We’re Looking For
Must Have
- 2+ years of professional software development experience
- Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript for backend development (Node.js/NestJS)
- Deep hands-on experience with PostgreSQL including schema design, query optimization, performance tuning, and indexing strategies
- Proven track record of building and maintaining complex API integrations (REST, GraphQL) with third-party services, along with solid grasp of webhook architectures, event-driven systems, and async processing
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design, GraphQL, and microservices architecture
- Strong understanding of rate limiting strategies, pagination patterns, and error handling best practices
- Proven ability to gather requirements from non-technical users and translate them into elegant solutions
- Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration in a fast-paced environment
- Bias for action with strong ownership mentality and end-to-end delivery mindset
Nice To Have
- Hands-on experience with HubSpot APIs and Data Models (CRM, Marketing Hub, Sales Hub) or similar CRM platforms
- Familiarity with GTM tools: Stripe, Chargebee, Intercom, Segment
- Background in building workflow automation platforms or internal tools
- Familiarity with Selenium and Puppeteer for web scraping and browser automation
- Working knowledge of AWS services (ECS, EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, S3, CloudWatch)
- Prior experience at a seed or early-stage SaaS company
