Director II, Clinical Data Strategy & Operations

AbbVie is seeking a Director II, Clinical Data Strategy & Operations to lead a global workforce in supporting assigned therapeutic areas within AbbVie’s clinical trial portfolio. The Director is responsible for contributing to and supporting the design, development, and maintenance of the operating model, as well as talent acquisition and performance management, process development, and quality control.

Requirements

• Accountable for contributing to the design and development of the CDSO operating model and preservation of its integrity.
• Develops and empowers a leadership team that brings operations and domain expertise.
• Ensures the standard for talent used to drive CDSO talent acquisition and development.
• Develops a culture that inspires personnel to question norms and execute with quality and speed.
• Maintains clear line of sight to competitor activity and analyzes industry and cross-industry operational advancements.
• Contributes to strategic road maps along with CDSO peers and peers from R&D functions.
• Accountable for representing AbbVie with regulatory authorities and contributing to policy discussions.
• 12+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or as an operations leader in an applicable industry
• Broad business orientation, including advanced operations philosophy and methodology
• Crisp and clear communication in both written and oral forms
• Ability to approach situations with a neutral mindset and to form opinions that lead to results
• Ability to model and manage performance behaviors and teach those behaviors by example
• Both a creative and analytical thinker with the ability to generate novel ideas and use data to make decisions
• Demonstrated ability to effectively network, influence, and build strong relationships
