Data Engineer II

Role Overview

Absolute Business Solutions Corp is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support a highly mission-focused Intelligence Community customer in Chantilly, VA. The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain data pipelines and platforms that enable analysts, developers, and mission users to access and derive value from disparate datasets.

What You Will Do

Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for retrieving, parsing, transforming, and processing structured and unstructured data. Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and workflows supporting analytics, reporting, and mission applications.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience developing software used to retrieve, parse, process, or transform structured and unstructured data, and experience working within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing software used to retrieve, parse, process, or transform structured and unstructured data
• 3+ years of experience developing solutions using Python, SQL, Scala, or Java
• 3+ years of experience designing or developing scalable ETL/ELT workflows supporting analytics or reporting
• Experience developing technical solutions within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
• Experience using version-control tools such as GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket
• Experience developing scripts or applications that transform multiple data types into usable formats
• Ability to support the scaling, monitoring, operation, and maintenance of data platforms
• Ability to work on-site in Chantilly, VA
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain Security+ Certification within 30 days of start date
