Role Overview

The Senior Financial Planning & Reporting Analyst will be responsible for financial analysis, forecasting, management reporting, and performance insights. The role will conduct month-end cost reviews, lead the site forecasting process, support budgeting planning, and deliver actual versus budget and forecast variance analysis.

What You Will Do

The incumbent will develop financial reports and dashboards, support operational decision-making, and ensure compliance with SOX requirements, audit obligations, and financial controls while driving continuous improvement across reporting and business processes.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, forecasting, management reporting, budgeting, or financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and a strong understanding of forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and performance management processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline (Business, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, etc.)
  • CPA designation completed or in progress is considered an asset.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, forecasting, management reporting, budgeting, or financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
  • Experience supporting operational stakeholders in a mining, industrial, manufacturing, or similarly complex environment is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience performing variance analysis, cost analysis, forecasting, and management reporting
  • Experience working within a SOX-controlled environment and supporting audit requirements is considered a strong asset
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, reporting, and data analysis
  • Experience with JDE, Hyperion, HFM, Anaplan, Power BI, and other financial planning and reporting systems
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and performance management processes
  • Knowledge of internal controls, SOX compliance requirements, and audit support processes
  • Ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and communicate meaningful business insights
