Role Overview
AIR Communities is undertaking a major data transformation following a recent merger, consolidating two legacy systems into a single, unified Analytics Data Warehouse (ADW). We’re looking for a Director of Data Science to serve as the critical business-facing lead on this initiative.
What You Will Do
Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the IT/engineering team building ADW, translating business needs into clear technical requirements. Lead requirements-gathering across multiple business units, reconciling differing data definitions and priorities inherited from the two legacy organizations.

Requirements
- 8-10+ years of experience in analytics, finance, or data management
- Bachelor’s degree required (field open if experience is a strong fit)
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Power BI (required)
- Experience with Databricks, Azure, API integrations, and/or Python (a strong plus)
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and vice versa
- Experience managing complex, cross-functional initiatives
- Multi-family real estate industry experience strongly preferred
- Experience with system consolidation or M&A-driven data integration a plus
