Role Overview
Financial Analysts are responsible for financial planning, analysis and projection for companies and corporations. They forecast future revenues and expenditures to establish cost structures and determine capital budgeting for projects.
What You Will Do
Analyze current and past financial data and performance, preparing reports and projections based on this analysis, evaluating current capital expenditures and depreciation, exploring investment opportunities, establishing and evaluating profit plans, identifying trends in financial performance and providing recommendations for improvement, coordinating with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts, providing financial models and forecasting.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Should be very good with numbers and solving problems, familiar with the workings of the economy, tax laws, and money markets.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in accounting or economics, or statistics or business administration.
- CPA or MBA may be preferred.
