Data Scientist

Role Overview

Data Scientist will collect, extract, and clean data from various sources, analyze data using statistical techniques, and create clear reports and visualizations to communicate findings. They will work closely with statisticians and other team members to interpret results and refine analysis approaches.

What You Will Do

Perform in-depth data analysis, write complex queries, perform calculations, and apply statistical tests. Create polished dashboards using Power BI and similar tools to present analysis outcomes.

Why It Might Be a Fit

We need analysts who can interpret data correctly, spot outliers or errors, and have excellent communication skills to explain data findings in layman’s terms. A collaborative attitude is important, as Data Analysts will frequently interact with other teams to gather context and ensure that analyses meet the needs of the census project.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, or similar
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and languages, particularly SQL, Excel, Python, and R
• Experience with statistical libraries or packages (e.g., pandas, R’s tidyverse)
• Familiarity with business intelligence and visualization tools, especially Power BI
