Marketing & Communications Associate

Role Overview

The Marketing & Communications Associate will support the Public Programs team at the Aspen Institute, producing events and activities, with a special emphasis on the Aspen Ideas Festival. The ideal candidate is a strategic and creative storyteller who can elevate the digital presence of Aspen Ideas across platforms and audiences.

What You Will Do

The Associate will lead content strategy and execution for social media, develop and maintain the social media editorial calendar, create social media assets, manage asset workflow, and track and analyze social media metrics.

Requirements

  • 1-3+ years of professional communications or marketing experience, including social media management
  • Demonstrated expertise in content strategy, community building, and multi-platform growth
  • Strong portfolio of social content, including video editing and graphic design work
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills
  • Proficiency with video editing tools, design platforms, and social media management tools
  • Experience managing paid social campaigns or collaborating with performance marketing teams
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects on tight deadlines
