Data Scientist (Japan Brand and Market Analytics Partner) for Astellas responsible for providing valuable strategic business insight and actionable recommendations to priority Commercial Division/markets to support achievement of brand objectives. This position will assess brand performance on an ongoing and ad hoc basis to identify new business opportunities and insights and advise key stakeholders on how best to leverage the opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in analytics or operations (or equivalent with a Master’s degree)
  • Proficiency in SQL, R, or Python
  • Understanding of statistical modeling techniques (e.g., regression analysis, ROI analysis, NLP, predictive modeling)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Japanese (business level or above), English (basic reading and writing skills)
