Role Overview

The Business & People Operations Manager will own the employee lifecycle, payroll, and core People programs, keeping the Santa Monica office running smoothly and improving how all of it works as the company grows.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include offering letters and offer packages, onboarding end-to-end, accurate and current employee records, partnering with Insperity on benefits and 401(k) administration, leaves of absence, performance review cycles, policy rollouts, and offboarding.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in People Operations, HR, or business operations, with hands-on ownership rather than support of someone else’s processes, and will be able to handle compensation, performance issues, and personal circumstances with discretion and judgment.

Requirements

  • 4+ years across People Operations, HR, or business operations
  • Direct experience running payroll
  • Working knowledge of California employment compliance
  • Discretion and judgment
  • Clear writing and reliable follow-through
