Platform Data Engineer (DataOps / Orchestration) – Latin America – Remote

Azumo is seeking a senior Platform Data Engineer to support and stabilize a modern cloud data platform during a period of growth and integration. The role is focused on orchestration and reliability, with responsibilities including data orchestration patterns, deployment and operational patterns, and data pipeline and model production-grade and operational soundness.

Requirements

• Senior/Staff-level experience as a Platform Data Engineer or DataOps Engineer
• Strong Python experience for orchestration and framework-level work
• Hands-on production experience with Prefect or Airflow
• Proven experience with dbt in a production data warehouse environment and Snowflake
• Experience with AWS data workloads and scheduled or batch processing
• Proficiency with GitLab CI/CD and Terraform for infrastructure-as-code
• Experience operating and maintaining production data pipelines at scale
• Experience with data observability tooling (e.g., Monte Carlo or similar)
• Exposure to MLOps or ML pipeline orchestration
• Experience joining an existing data platform mid-stream to stabilize and harden it
• Prior experience in time-boxed platform enablement or advisory engagements
