Revenue Operations Manager

Hybrid Full TimeBaselayer

About Baselayer

Every day, financial institutions make consequential decisions about which businesses to onboard and trust, in order to grow with confidence. Baselayer exists to make those decisions faster, more accurate, and much less expensive. We offer the leading AI Risk Platform that automates merchant onboarding, underwriting, and fraud prevention for over 20% of the Financial Institutions in America. By combining authoritative government data, AI agents purpose-built for web analysis, and a network powered by millions of applications, Baselayer prevents billions of dollars in merchant fraud and credit risk and instantly automates good merchant applications.

About the Team

We’re a small team solving a big problem. Business fraud costs the financial system billions every year, and the tools built to fight it are slow, expensive, and outdated. We’re changing that. You’d be joining a small, close-knit team where ownership is real, customer impact is immediate, and the work you ship matters from day one. We move deliberately, communicate directly, and care deeply about quality. If you want to look back in five years and know you worked on something that changed how trust works across major financial institutions, let’s chat!

About the Role

We are looking for a Revenue Operations Manager to play a foundational role in building and scaling Baselayer’s financial and operational intelligence. This role will work across all functions including Finance, Operations, Sales, Product, and Engineering to improve how the company measures performance, makes decisions, and scales.

This is a highly visible role reporting directly to the Head of Operations & Finance. You will own core financial processes, business intelligence tooling, and operational reporting, while proactively identifying opportunities to improve systems, workflows, and data integrity. You will also help develop recurring executive and board-level reporting.

This is not a plug-and-play analyst role. We are looking for someone who wants to build, improve, and own best-in-class financial and operational processes from the ground up.

What You’ll Do

Revenue Operations

  • Own the end-to-end revenue operations function, including pipeline management, forecasting, and GTM process design across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success
  • Build, maintain, and continuously improve core RevOps processes — lead routing, opportunity management, handoff workflows, and lifecycle stage definitions
  • Partner with GTM leadership to support territory planning, quota setting, capacity modeling, and headcount forecasting
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and auditability across all revenue-facing systems

Business Intelligence and Analytics

  • Own and enhance Metabase dashboards, ensuring they are accurate, actionable, and trusted across the GTM org
  • Design and maintain SQL-based data models and reporting views to support pipeline, conversion, retention, and revenue reporting
  • Translate ambiguous business questions into clear analytical frameworks — funnel analysis, cohort performance, churn drivers, expansion trends

Systems and Tooling

  • Own HubSpot as the system of record: data structure, lifecycle stages, pipeline configuration, and reporting integrity
  • Identify gaps and inefficiencies across the revenue tech stack and proactively propose and implement solutions
  • Act as the connective layer between Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, and Engineering when data or systems need alignment

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with GTM leaders and ICs to surface insights, improve operational clarity, and accelerate revenue performance
  • Establish consistent definitions, metrics, and reporting standards across the revenue org — ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, churn, and pipeline coverage
  • Serve as a trusted operational partner who brings structure and clarity to complex go-to-market problems

Required Experience and Skills

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, or GTM Analytics, ideally in a SaaS or technology-driven company
  • Highly advanced Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills
  • Highly advanced SQL skills, with experience writing complex, performant queries
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining dashboards; Metabase strongly preferred
  • Deep hands-on experience with HubSpot — pipeline management, lifecycle configuration, and reporting
  • Experience supporting sales forecasting, quota modeling, or territory planning strongly preferred

What Sets You Apart

  • You think out of the box and enjoy improving how things work rather than maintaining the status quo
  • You are proactive, self-directed, and comfortable operating without detailed instructions
  • You care deeply about data quality, consistency, and trust
  • You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • You want to be foundational and help build something that lasts
  • You are highly analytical, deeply curious, and motivated by building systems that scale. You thrive in environments with ownership, ambiguity, and high expectations.

Work Location

  • Based in NYC; hybrid – 4 days per week in office.

Compensation

  • Salary Range: $90,000 – $150,000 + Variable Bonus

Benefits

  • Time off when you need it: Flexible PTO so you can recharge without red tape
  • In-person energy: We’re based in SF and meet in the office 4 days a week
  • Competitive compensation: We pay well and back it with equity. We want you to think and act like an owner
  • Career rocket fuel: You’ll help build the foundation of a high-growth startup, working side by side with experienced founders and team members who’ve done it before
  • Benefits on us: We cover 100% of your health, dental, and vision premiums. No surprise deductions from your paycheck
  • 401(k) with company match: We match your contributions so your future self benefits too
  • HSA contributions included: We contribute to your HSA on applicable plans, so your coverage works as hard as you do
  • Stay healthy, stay sharp: A $250 annual gym stipend to help you bring your best self to work, and everywhere else
  • A seat at the table: We believe in transparency, radical candor, and giving every team member a voice
