Role Overview
The IT & People Operations Support Specialist will play a pivotal role in keeping staff connected and secure, managing technology and vendors, and running the DC Hub office. The role requires 4+ years of IT support or operations experience, including time owning systems rather than just responding to requests. The specialist will be responsible for owning staff access across systems, keeping device and license inventory current, and running onboarding and off-boarding processes. The role also involves managing the day-to-day relationship with the managed service provider, including scope, response times, and escalation paths.
What You Will Do
The IT & People Operations Support Specialist will own the end-to-end onboarding and off-boarding process, administer Salesforce staff accounts and incident report access, and maintain distribution lists and shared mailboxes. The role also involves running the device inventory, including assignments, warranty, and replacement status, and coordinating hardware purchasing and budget forecasting. The specialist will also support staff with MFA, password resets, and account recovery, and work with the managed service provider on compromised accounts and security alerts.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role is a good fit for someone with real IT operations experience who wants ownership rather than a ticket queue, and who doesn’t mind that 40% of the job is logistics and administration. The role requires strong organization and follow-through, clear communication with non-technical staff, and a service mindset. The specialist will also be responsible for discretion with confidential personnel information and sensitive youth safety records, and sound judgment with privileged administrative access.
