Data Scientist

Role Overview

The Data Scientist will be introduced to project contexts where they will understand the needs of the Client, indicate to the Data Engineer the desired data preparation, choose or build the best mix of models suitable for the specific case, discuss the output with the Client, and deliver the model for optimization and final production to the Data Engineer.

The Data Scientist will be responsible for data exploration, data analysis, and model creation, as well as contributing to the Community with research activities, scouting, concept of new solutions, and business development.

Requirements

• 3 to 6 years of experience in the role
• Specialized degree in Computer Engineering, Mathematical Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or related disciplines (STEM)
• Strong quantitative approach and brilliant analytical skills
• Passion and competence in data exploration, data analysis, and model creation
• Statistical and Data Mining competences
• Solid knowledge and proven experience in programming and scripting with Python
• Knowledge of Deep Learning, NLP, and unstructured data analysis
• Experience with version control tools (e.g. Git)
• Understanding of Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, MapReduce, Spark
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases and SQL constructs and SQL programming
• Knowledge of non-relational databases
• Proven experience in managing technical resources (people) on projects
• Essential is the knowledge of fluent Italian and English professionals
