Data Scientist

Role Overview

Capital Insurance Group is seeking a Data Scientist to join their Actuarial & Analytics Department. The successful candidate will perform in-depth analyses, drive strategy and analytics objectives, and help shape the department. The role requires good business judgement, creative problem-solving, and effective communication.

As a Data Scientist, you will perform advanced analytics, including predictive modeling and machine learning techniques. You will work with internal partners to launch analytics solutions, compile relevant data, and communicate results to key stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a quantitative or scientific field
• 7+ years of experience
• Experience creating and completing end-to-end analyses or modeling projects
• Background in statistics
• Extensive experience using SQL and relational databases
• Advanced knowledge of Python, R, or another object-oriented statistical language
• Experience with data visualization software (e.g., Tableau)
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
