Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis

Role Overview

The Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis is a senior finance leader responsible for advancing CII’s long-term financial health and strategic sustainability. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and serving on CII’s senior leadership team, the VP leads enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, and financial performance strategy aligned to CII’s Strategic Plan and North Star outcomes.

What You Will Do

Lead and continuously strengthen CII’s enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes. Develop rolling forecasts and multi-year financial models that inform strategic decision-making and long-term sustainability.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or financial planning leadership, and experience operating in complex, multi-funder environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or financial planning leadership
• 5+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams
• Experience operating in complex, multi-funder environments
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year financial modeling processes
• Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning expertise
• Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks applicable to nonprofit or government-funded organizations
• Familiarity with enterprise financial systems and business intelligence tools
• Experience presenting financial analysis to executive leadership and supporting Board-level presentations
• Strong cross-functional partnership skills with operations, accounting, and program leadership
