Role Overview

Join the City of Chattanooga Team as a Senior Data Analyst, working with a dedicated workforce to improve citizen-focused service delivery through data analysis and performance coaching. The role involves analyzing data and performance results to develop insights and formulate recommendations for decision-making.

What You Will Do

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will serve as a key resource to departments, developing and reporting metrics to guide strategic and operational decisions. You will lead non-technical stakeholders through complex analytical processes, translating data findings into accessible insights and actionable guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business management, computer science, public administration, finance, information systems, mathematics, statistics, or any related fields
• Three years of experience in utilizing data for operational or financial analysis
• Valid Driver’s License
• Knowledge of Google Cloud data platforms and processes, like BigQuery, Looker, Looker Studio, Google Workspace, or similar tools
• Proficient with Jira, Bitbucket (version control), and Confluence for documentation, tracking tasks, managing repositories, and driving agile projects
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, Python (or similar scripting languages), SQL, Dataform, and Web API, or ability to learn quickly
• Experience with Airbyte & Airflow or similar, Cloud Run, Gemini Enterprise, ADK, and/or Gemini Enterprise Agent platform is preferred
• Experience using and developing generative AI workflows (e.g., Google Gemini, LLMs, prompt engineering) to streamline analytics pipelines and workplace efficiency
