The Division of Disease Control’s mission is to safeguard the health of New Yorkers through identification, surveillance, treatment, control, and prevention of infectious diseases, which is achieved through varied and interrelated endeavors of its seven Bureaus. The Bureau of Division Management & Systems Coordination (DMSC) leads administrative, surveillance, informatics, preparedness, policy, communications, community engagement, and racial equity and social justice activities for the Division and guides the strategic use of Division resources to advance innovative and effective policies and programs.

Requirements

  • Develop and maintain disease reporting data ETL pipelines
  • Build and maintain data integration pipelines between reporting and surveillance systems
  • Use Machine Learning and other suitable tools to make and record progress for anomaly detection
  • Design and maintain data quality reporting systems
  • Manage project requirements, timelines, deliverables, and prepare reports accordingly
  • Manage communication with stakeholders
  • Conduct analyses to improve automated detection and evaluation of data quality and reporting issues
  • Assist in the coordination of research efforts and conduct ad hoc data engineering and analyses tasks as needed
