Senior Data Analyst

Role Overview

The City of Philadelphia’s Office of Innovation & Technology (OIT) is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to work on data acquisition, cleaning, and feature engineering for operational performance metrics and their financial impacts. The successful candidate will leverage large volumes of data to analyze, organize, and understand it to determine clear strategies and next steps for solving problems for the Water Department.

What You Will Do

The Senior Data Analyst will create data models and views based on large and complex data sets to facilitate research and reporting at PWD, conduct research to answer industry and business questions, and employ sophisticated analytics programs to prepare data for use in predictive and prescriptive modeling.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or similar – four years preferred
• Attention to detail is critical
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficient in data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI
• Proficient in programming languages like Python, R, and SQL
• Exemplary organization skills
• Emphasis on customer service
• Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
