Role Overview

The Financial Analyst II is an integral member of the Financial Planning & Analysis team, supporting financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and strategic decision-making for Parks & Recreation and the Parks Board.

What You Will Do

The role provides financial analysis, business case development, performance measurement, and budget management support for annual operating and capital budgets, and identifies risks, opportunities, and efficiencies.

Requirements

  • Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, or Finance
  • Professional accounting designation
  • Extensive experience in budgeting, finance, and administration in a large multi-union organization
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and integrated financial software
  • Knowledge of PSAB and public sector accounting standards
  • Experience preparing financial statements, reports, statistics, and complex spreadsheets accurately
  • Experience developing operating and capital budgets and improving business processes
  • Experience writing reports for Council or Board-level audiences

Benefits

  • Pay Grade 91: $117,909 to $147,377 per annum
  • Regular Full Time employment
