GTM Engineer

Role Overview

Clasp is a venture-backed, mission-driven startup transforming access to education and career pathways. We are revolutionizing the way employers attract and retain critical talent and the way colleges and universities support their students through education financing — all while tackling the student debt crisis. We need someone to build the machinery underneath both.

What You Will Do

Build the machinery underneath Clasp’s HubSpot instance and the systems that surround it — funnel architecture, revenue operations, lifecycle automation, scoring, routing, and reporting across both motions.

Why It Might Be a Fit

We’re looking for the first hire in this seat. There’s real mess to clean up and real leverage on the other side of it. You’d rather build a system that removes a manual process than run the manual process well, and you reach for an API or an automation before accepting that something has to be done by hand.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years in revenue operations, marketing operations, GTM engineering, or an analytics role embedded in revenue, including 2+ years hands-on in HubSpot
• Experience building revenue infrastructure where little existed before
• Experience in a regulated industry — financial services, healthcare, insurance, or similar — where consumer data, consent, retention, and access controls have real rules attached
• A track record of landing material CRM changes on a live revenue team without breaking their reporting
• Deep, hands-on HubSpot: custom objects and properties, workflows and custom code actions, forms, CMS modules, the CRM and Marketing APIs, association complexity, marketing contact economics
• SQL fluency and comfort reasoning about data models, not just running reports
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, OAuth, webhooks, data mapping, and reliable synchronization between systems
• Enough scripting ability to automate rather than repeat yourself
