Financial Analyst

Role Overview

The Financial Analyst performs financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting to support the organization’s financial planning and decision-making. The position collects, organizes, and analyzes financial and operational data from multiple sources; monitors financial performance against established plans and budgets; evaluates business performance and relevant market conditions; and prepares forecasts and periodic reports to support tactical and strategic decisions by leadership.

What You Will Do

The Financial Analyst will provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management. They will use multiple and diverse resources, including key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting, to assist managers with budget preparation. They will also produce timely reports, interpret and analyze policy and financial data, and communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, and business administration, with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a financial analyst. They will have demonstrated proficiency in PPS rates, managed care capitation, and UDS, and will be able to work effectively with internal departments and external organizations to achieve project objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years as a financial analyst, preferably within an FQHC or ambulatory care setting
• Demonstrated proficiency in PPS rates, managed care capitation, and UDS
• Advanced business mathematic skills
• Ability to interpret, analyze, and communicate policy, operational, and financial information
• Ability to monitor and control resources and evaluate financial and operational information
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments and external organizations
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet established deadlines
