Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing sales within the assigned territory, identifying new customers, managing distributors, and growing profitable B2B business with manufacturers and industrial end users.
What You Will Do
Key responsibilities include developing new customers and expanding existing accounts, generating sales across industrial chemical market segments, managing distributors and key accounts, and achieving agreed sales, margin and collection targets.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of industrial chemicals, petrochemicals, lubricants, base oils, solvents or related products, and will be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Petrochemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, International Business, Marketing or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience
- Existing customer relationships within the assigned country or region
- Experience selling to manufacturers, distributors and industrial end users
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Commercial understanding of industrial chemical applications
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to travel extensively
- Valid driving licence (where applicable)
- English required; French and/or Arabic is an advantage depending on the region
