Business Development Representatives (“BDR”) are responsible for qualifying both inbound and outbound sales leads at the initial stages in the sales funnel, researching potential clients, connecting with, and educating prospects before handing them off to the closers of the sales team.

Requirements

  • Qualifying both inbound and outbound sales leads at the initial stages in the sales funnel
  • Researching potential clients, connecting with, and educating prospects
  • Following up on inbound marketing leads
  • Creating target prospects lists and penetrating key accounts
  • Cold calling prospects generated by variety of outside sources
  • Answering incoming customer calls and sending them in the correct direction
  • Identifying key players, researching and obtaining business requirements, and presenting solutions
  • Developing a knowledge of the company’s product
  • Monitoring account creation to ensure that no duplicate accounts are created
  • Working with a specified region to help grow sales
  • Setting appointments for Local Sales team when a lead reaches a qualified stage
  • Nurturing new marketing leads by educating and developing prospects
  • Collaborating with sales and marketing team members on strategic sales approach
  • Ensuring successful follow through of sales cycle by maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification information in CRM application
