Senior Data Scientist – Pricing & Demand Analytics

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join a Retail/CPG project focused on pricing and demand analytics. In this role, you will build the models that help the business decide how to price, promote and position its products, measuring how price changes affect demand, how products influence each other, and where cannibalization erodes margin.

What You Will Do

Your work will have a direct impact on sales and profitability. You will take problems from data exploration to production-ready AI/ML solutions, working closely with engineering and product teams, and translating complex findings into clear recommendations for key stakeholders.

Why It Might Be a Fit

This role requires full-time dedication, with clear priority given to Darwoft projects during the established working hours. It is not compatible with other full-time professional engagements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Retail or CPG industry
• Hands-on experience modeling price elasticities, cross-effects and cannibalization
• Strong proficiency in Python, including Pandas and Object-Oriented Programming
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience processing transaction data
• Solid experience in time series analysis
• Strong prototyping skills, with hands-on experience in QA, testing and refining models for production
• Understanding of large-scale software system architecture and experience working in cloud environments
• Ability to interpret complex datasets, design meaningful visualizations and communicate insights through data storytelling
• Strong ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
