Data Scientist – AI / GenAI for Financial Risk Management

We are seeking a Data Scientist – AI / GenAI for Financial Risk Management to join our rapidly growing Financial Risk Management team in Athens. The successful candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, statistics, and quantitative modeling, and experience with Generative AI / LLMs. The role involves developing and implementing machine learning models for risk use cases, designing and deploying Generative AI solutions, and collaborating with risk and business teams to translate requirements into analytical models.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in banking or financial services
• Strong background in machine learning, statistics, and quantitative modeling
• Proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch)
• Experience with Generative AI / LLMs
• Experience delivering AI/ML solutions in production environments
• Knowledge of data engineering concepts (SQL, ETL, pipelines)
• Knowledge of data visualisation tools and ability to create dashboards and reports
• Knowledge of the machine learning lifecycle, from prototyping state-of-the-art to scaling and managing for enterprise use
• Understanding of key considerations for Ethical and Responsible data and AI, and experience applying them
• Ability to explain complex models to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Problem-solving mindset
