Role Overview
The Account Manager is responsible for prospecting, developing, and maintaining business relationships with strategic clients in the agricultural sector, promoting and selling products and services to grow the business centre. This role uses in-depth technical knowledge and business skills to negotiate complex agreements of significant importance.
What You Will Do
Initiate and maintain personalized business relationships with clients to promote and sell Desjardins products and services. Act as a key intermediary, analyze client needs, develop solutions, negotiate conditions, and execute promotional activities to achieve business objectives.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- A minimum of six years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of French is required
- Knowledge of the latest financial, economic, policy and legislative developments
- Ability to perform analyses of the market and the business centre external environment
- Ability to perform financial analysis
- Knowledge of the characteristics and credit risk inherent to the major agricultural and agriculture-related markets
- Knowledge of loan and guarantee contracts
- Knowledge of products and services for businesses and those offered by caisses, components and Desjardins distribution networks and those of the competition
- Knowledge of financing and credit management practices related to businesses
- Knowledge of policies, legislation and standards governing the products and services offered by the business centre
- Knowledge of business credit authorization, monitoring, collection and recovery practices
- Knowledge of Desjardins business processes
- Understanding of the referral process
- Familiarity with government business assistance programs
- Networking skills

- Understanding of cooperative and cooperative network values, rules and operations
