Role Overview

The Sales Operations Assistant supports the efficient operation of the sales department while also providing the accounting department with support. This role performs multiple tasks including collections, supporting sales staff with quote requests, booked jobs, and pending and ongoing projects. The primary goal is to ensure salespersons can focus on sales activities.

What You Will Do

Assist or complete estimates, perform collection duties, generate daily paperwork such as work orders and purchase orders, communicate with customers regarding change orders and storage confirmations, coordinate work order requirements with dispatch, administer the job packet process, create and maintain documents and spreadsheets, complete employee clearance documents, apply for vehicle permits, act as liaison between sales and accounting departments, submit invoicing data, track sales projections in CRM, develop warehousing inventory spreadsheets, reconcile employee credit card transactions, and follow up on estimates.

Why It Might Be a Fit

This role requires an Associate’s degree or 2 years of sales operations experience, plus 2 years of Microsoft Office Suite experience. Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems is preferred. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills, able to work under deadlines and maintain confidentiality. Experience in a fast-paced construction industry environment is preferred.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or 2 years’ experience in sales operations capacity
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems
  • Ability to adhere to company processes and drive improvements
  • Self-starter, outgoing personality
  • Experience with web-based CRM system
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational, detail oriented, and time management skills
  • Effectively able to maintain discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to multi-task and process multiple activities successfully
  • Demonstrated ability to work under deadlines and time frames effectively with a customer service demeanor
