Role Overview
DKSH Performance Materials is a leading specialty chemicals distributor supplying customers across diverse Australian industries including Agricultural, Infrastructure, Power Generation, Water treatment, Roads, Mining and Industrial Manufacturing. Due to continued business growth, we are seeking a motivated and ambitious Account Manager to join our market-leading organisation. The role is ideal for someone early in their sales career who is looking to develop their commercial skills, build long-term customer relationships, and establish a successful career in specialty chemical sales.
What You Will Do
Identify key contacts within the customer, nurture long-term relationships, and learn their business needs to provide long-term, relevant support. Negotiate commercials, optimize supply fulfillment, and find opportunities to increase portfolio selling by creating innovative solutions. Create and achieve account management plans, develop and maintain a call plan via Salesforce CRM, and accurately forecast customer demand. Explore business opportunities by understanding customers’ formulations and raw material requirements, and communicate technical value to customers.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role is ideal for someone early in their sales career with 1-4 years of proven experience in technical sales within specialty chemical distributors or manufacturers. You should have a degree in Chemistry/Science or related technical fields, or adequate in-field experience. Proficient Excel experience and experience with Salesforce are desired. You must have the legal right to work in Australia.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemistry/Science, or related technical fields or adequate in-field experience
- 1 – 4 years proven experience in technical sales within specialty chemical distributors or manufacturer’s
- Ideally from raw material/ chemical distribution background
- Proficient Excel experience is desired
- Experience with Salesforce is desired
