Role Overview

The Associate Director, Market Research and Competitive Intelligence generates actionable insights that support global commercial strategy and execution for Dyne’s investigational therapies in Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) and myotonic dystrophy type 1 (DM1). This role partners across global asset and commercial teams and serves as an internal consultant to Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Medical, Clinical, Regulatory, Finance and Advanced Analytics.

Primary responsibilities include leading primary and secondary market research and competitive intelligence initiatives, collaborating with global commercial leads to develop insight-generation plans, and presenting market research insights and strategic recommendations to senior leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree such as an MBA, PhD or PharmD preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in market research and competitive intelligence within biotechnology or pharmaceuticals, in-house or with a vendor
  • Demonstrated expertise designing and executing qualitative and quantitative primary market research and integrating findings with secondary data to shape commercial strategy
  • Experience leading competitive intelligence across a portfolio and communicating implications succinctly to varied audiences
  • Experience supporting new product launches and/or rare disease programs preferred
  • Global and U.S. experience preferred
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to market research and data analytics in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical sector
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and data-storytelling skills, with the ability to distill complex information into concise, impactful visuals and messages
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Ability to manage and negotiate with external vendors
  • Commitment to the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and integrity
