Data Engineer

Role Overview

The Data Engineer will build and maintain reliable data infrastructure, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility for reporting, analytics, and business intelligence across Eagle Brook Church. They will partner with the Data team and ministry stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver effective technical solutions.

What You Will Do

Design and implement data models, maintain data engineering standards, develop and support data pipelines, and ingest data from external sources. Prepare and model incoming data into clean, analysis-ready datasets for reporting and analytics consumers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of related experience
• Strong SQL and Python skills
• Proficient in data pipeline and ETL/ELT development
• Proficient in data warehouse design and management
• Strong API and system integration skills
• Familiarity with data security, access governance, and role-based permission models
• Experience with Microsoft Azure (Logic Apps, Functions, Storage)
• Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Gemini, or similar
