Role Overview
Contributes to accurate financial accounting and controls for retail and online businesses, executes month-end close activities, and assists with special projects.
What You Will Do
Execute assigned month-end close activities, daily monitoring, and support key accounting processes, including system remediation and enhancements.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX financial controls, and SAP/Hyperion Financial Suite required. Excellent communication skills and team player.
Requirements
- Undergraduate Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or related field
- 3-5 Years Experience
- CPA preferred
- Experience with Direct To Consumer industries (Free Standing Stores and Online) required
- Strong understanding of US GAAP (including ASC 606, inventory, prepaids and accrued expenses)
- Strong understanding of SOX financial controls
- Strong understanding of SAP, Hyperion Financial Suite, Online Order Management and POS (retail) systems
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and team player
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Highly organized detail-oriented individual with strong sense of ownership and keen attention to detail
